What's going on here?

Eric and Jason are college roommates who ten years later find themselves living 1400 miles apart, while Brennan is another 1800 miles removed. This blog is the replacement for afternoons once spent with a six-pack of Sapient Trip or Sierra Nevada, a pair of laptops with Baseball-reference and Fangraphs open, and an argument (or, when Brennan visited, pre-football-game dart matches). Completely different origins--Eric is originally from Southern California, while Jason and Brennan are from Northern California--account for not totally incompatible personalities and tendencies, even in regards to sports: Eric sadly identifies as a Dodgers, Angels, and Packers fan, while Jason and Brennan are fans of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers, and the Sacramento Kings. Displaced from California, Jason and Eric have somewhat reluctantly adopted local teams: Eric the Twins, and Jason the Baltimore Orioles (but not the Washington D.C. Football Team). Brennan holds down the fort in California--which means he occasionally gets to go watch one of his teams, as well. The one team they all agree on is Cal; they're usually not very good. Except at rugby. And crew. And sometimes golf.  And beating Rutgers to go 1-10.
